Green River Drifter Raft Fishing Frame

New for 2018, the Green River Drifter is a completely new concept in float fishing frame design! Unlike anything on the market, the Green River Drifter is built from the floor up, transferring rowing energy directly to the boat itself. The diamond plate floor is custom built to fit perfectly within your raft. The Green River Drifter is built without cross bars, greatly increasing mobility and comfort inside the raft. This frame is completely powder coated, extending the life of your raft and making the frame easy to maintain. This new frame design makes the Green River Drifter incredibly efficient on the water. This frame weighs in at about 200lbs for a 13’ raft and is super comparable to the weight of our traditional San Juan fishing frame. Designed to fit standard 13' and 14' rafts. The Green River Drifter includes oar towers, adjustable kick bar, low back tractor seat mounted on a dry box, front thigh brace w/ stripping basket, rear thigh braces, rear deluxe swivel seat, a track style rigging system and anchor system. DRE is known for making the best fishing frames on the market, but we’ve upped the game even more with this Cadillac of fishing frames. Drop jaws when you float by in Down River’s newest cutting edge frame; the Green River Drifter.” (Frame shown with additional accessories)

The Green River Drifter is designed specifically for 13' and 14' rafts with an interior width of 36" or more. Please call us for details. Every DRE frame is custom designed and built to specifically fit your boat and your needs. We do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. All frames are built onsite which gives us great flexibility in meeting your needs.  All DRE frames are designed with safety and functionality in mind. DRE’s standard oar towers are the best there are and provide all the adjustability you need to get the perfect rowing position.

  • The towers easily adjust forward or backward to accommodate any arm length.
  • Built in 12° offset to provide the correct relationship between the oar shaft and oar lock. If further adjustment is needed the towers can be easily canted in or out.
  • By design, our oar towers are initially “extra tall” to accommodate even the tallest rower. During an initial one time set up, the bottom of the oar tower needs to be cut off to lower the oar lock to the best height for you.
  • DRE’s oar tower system allows you to make all the adjustments you need to get the exact stroke that you like. This is most appreciated in big water where “every little bit” counts.
DRE only uses the very best of materials and manufacturing processes for our products. It is our intention to provide a frame that will stand up to the biggest whitewater for many decades. The pipe we use is 1½” (1.9” O.D.) and 1 1/4" (1.625 O.D.) 6063 alloy Schedule 40 T6 aluminum extruded in a process designed specifically for DRE to give the best combination of weight and strength. Bent corners, Hollaender Al-Mag 535 fittings and our proprietary in-line fittings provide great strength and allow the frame to break down.
